Options for Missing Student Portraits in Portrait Auto Flow

You may discover that you are missing portraits for students. When this happens you have different options for handling the missing portraits on the portrait pages.

1. Add missing student names using a text box. This is the best option. This will keep the page uniform while acknowledging the students who do not have a photo available.

2. Use your school mascot or a fun image for a placeholder. If you want to use a placeholder for the missing photo, this is the best option. Upload the mascot image and then drag and drop the image into the blank spaces. Add a text box for the students' names. Use the link below to see how you can add the mascot image to the portrait section with the student's name.

3. Use a generic placeholder. This is the least desirable option. We recommend that you do not use a blank space or a generic placeholder for a missing photo. If you want to use the generic placeholder it can be found in Graphics.

4. Use a different photo of the student and add it to the portrait page. Adding a different photo of the student is a great way to have the student included in their class section in the yearbook. An easy way to do this is to take a photo of the student and upload it to add to the portrait page. Here is how you can add a new photo to a portrait auto flow section:
