Many schools use the sale of yearbooks as a fundraiser for the school. You can add a fundraiser amount to the cost of the yearbook. The fundraiser amount will be collected for each book ordered online.
Here is how to add a fundraiser amount:
1. On your Dashboard, in Book Settings, select Edit for Pricing.
2. Book Options will open to the right. Add or edit the fundraiser amount and select Done.
(The minimum fundraiser amount allowed is $1.00 and there is no limit for a maximum amount.)
More Detail About the Fundraiser
- Administrative Fee: TreeRing will charge an administrative fee of 5% on Fundraiser funds collected on online orders. This equates to $0.05 per dollar collected.
- Example: If your Core Book Price is $10.00, and you include a $2.00 fundraiser, the total price charged to your customer will be $12.00. You will receive $1.90 for each book sold, and $0.10 (5%) will be collected by TreeRing.
- Fundraiser Discounts: The Fundraiser on books sold during our discount months (August through October), as well as any book purchased using a percentage discount coupon, will have the fundraiser reduced by the percentage discount.
- Example: if your Core Book Price is $18.00 and you include a $2.00 fundraiser, the total price charged to your school community will be $20.00. If the person preorders a book in August-September, they will receive a 10% discount on the total book price which in this case is $2.00 and will pay $18.00. The Fundraiser collected on this order will be $1.80 ($2.00 less the $0.20 (10%) discount). The above administrative fee will then be assessed (5%) and a total of $1.71 will be the total amount received by your organization ($1.80 less the $0.09 (5%) administrative fee collected by TreeRing).
- The fundraiser amount is collected for the school on all online orders placed before the Delivery Date in your Dashboard.
- You can use your collected fundraiser to place orders, pay for expedited shipping, and pay an invoice.
- You can have the available fundraiser amount rolled over to the next school year or request a check. Your choice must be made when setting your book to Print Ready.
- Fundraiser Checks - If you want a check it must be payable to the school or the PTA/PTO. It will be sent within 1-3 weeks after the Delivery Date in your Dashboard. The check will automatically expire 90 days after the date it was issued. Do not try to deposit the check if it has expired. Contact customer support to request a new check and to provide the correct mailing address.
